PART 1:<\/strong>\u00a0Pre-school life in Dad-built house on stilts in Bundaberg, children playing shops under the house after school, frogs sitting around the bath.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

PART 2:<\/strong>\u00a0Garden with chooks, brothers to milk factory for a can each of milk and butter \u2013 chickens locally \u2013 yabbies \u2013 no food as wartime and Dad not enough work.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

PART 3:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>At school \u2013 trenches with dilly bag around necks with peg for nose, rubber to bite on, cotton wool for ear plugs in case of bombing \u2013 West Bundaberg SS.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

PART 4:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>Contact with Aboriginal people \u2013 Mother\u2019s helper and lots of children at school \u2013 \u201cOh! Where did they come from?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
